- describe some skills and qualities you have that would be useful
- give details of when you would be available for work
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to express my interest to work as a volunteer part-time staff in your museum “Adnes Museum”, a stone throw from my house.
I do not mind volunteering at the museum for the next three months because right now I am preparing for my final Archaeological exams and I spend most of the day indoors, reading voluminous books. I practically need the job to learn new things about culture, art and history, to gain some practical experiences and to unwind after hours alone devouring large notes
I currently possess some administrative qualities and have acquired some related experiences after interning with a local museum in Addis-Ababa, Ethiopia. Back then, I learnt cataloging, record keeping and customer relations.
Like I hinted above, I will prefer an evening or night shift if considered. Moreover, I will be ready to resume immediately after the recruitment board considers me worthy of employment.
