A friend of yours is thinking of going on a camping holiday for the first time this summer. He/She has asked for your advice.
Write a letter to your friend. In your letter
- explain why you think your friend would enjoy a camping holiday
- describe some possible disadvantages
- say whether you would like to go camping with your friend this summer
Dear Samuel,
I’m so glad writing this letter to you at this time and I hope this meets you well? I received your letter requesting for my advice on your next vacation and sincerely, I am super delighted that you are finally considering a camping holiday this time around.
Honestly, this may be one of the best decisions you will making, as you would enjoy every bit of it. As an experienced camper, I must tell you that camping is very suitable for people like you who work a lot. It’s an opportunity to unwind, observe and appreciate nature, and see some wildlife. There’s the chance that you would be engaged in recreational activities depending on the location of your campsite. Bonfires and games are some of such activities you may enjoy over there, just as you may grow your network of friends and socialise in the process.
Nonetheless, I want you to expect some challenges and take some precautions beforehand. Depending on the location, you may need to deal with mosquitoes and other disturbing insects, so I would advice you take some repellants with you. Another area of concern is network connectivity and access to power. While some sites make provision for such, some others do not. You just may struggle to keep in touch with loved ones while you are away.
I’d have loved to accompany you on this one, but my dear, I have a project defense coming up in the first week of your departure. Unfortunately, you would be miles away from here, so joining you and returning for the defense is not an option.
