Transactions have taken a different form, as in most nations, it is now a common feature to see people make payments with the use of mobile phone applications. This development is more beneficial than detrimental in my opinion.

One disadvantage with using mobile apps like bank apps and other third party apps for transactions is the risk of network failure. Many of these apps require the use of the internet to function, and in locations like rural areas where internet connectivity is unstable, chances are high that payments through these platforms may fail because of network breaches. When this happens, delays in transactions occur and the persons concerned are frustrated. As a result time is lost and customers may also be lost.

On the flip side, there are more advantages despite the demerit of network failure. First, making payments through our phones is more convenient than cash payments. A lot of time is saved as there is little need to go to banking halls to make payments. Moreover, it prevents the risk of being robbed on the way to the banking hall, as payments can be made in private without fear of being monitored. For instance, many bank apps allow Nigeria customers to pay as high as one million naira through the app without the need of withdrawing it and proceeding to the bank for payment to be made.

In conclusion, a lot of individuals now make their payments for goods and services through their phones. This to me is very beneficial because of the convenience and security it provides, though it may suffer from network problems.
